【摘要】:ThispartofBS8103givesrecommendationsforwallsabovegroundleveldamp-proofcourse(DPC)andwallsbetweengroundfloorlevelandtopoffoundationlevelinthefollowingrangeofbuildingsoftraditionalconstruction:a)low-risehousingcomprisingdetached,semi-detachedandterracedhousesandflats(withnotmorethanfourself-containeddwellingunitsperflooraccessiblefromonestaircase)ofnotmorethanthreestoreysaboveground,intendedfordomesticoccupationandasgovernedbystatedlimitingconditionsgiveninthiscode;b)certainsmallsinglestoreynon-residentialbuildings,e.g.domesticgaragesandannexestoresidentialbuildingsnotexceeding36minfloorarea(seeAnnexA).Forsuchbuildingsallclausesofthecodeareapplicableexceptfor4.3,4.4a),6.1,6.7.3and6.8.Forthepurposesofthiscode,additionalhabitableaccommodationintheroofspaceconstitutesastoreyofthehouse.Thiscodedoesnotincludethedesignofbasements,butprovidingthebasementisofonelevelonlyandisdesignedtoprovideafirmplatformatgroundlevel,theprovisionsofthiscodemayapplytothesuperstructureabovethebasement.Thestructuraldesignrecommendationsdescribedinthiscodearenotintendedtocoverotherconsiderationssuchasfireresistance,thermalandsoundinsulation,resistancetodamppenetrationanddurabilityforwhichreferenceshouldbemade,e.g.toBS5628-3.Proprietaryhousingsystemsandhousesoftimber,steelorconcreteframedconstructionsarenotcoveredbythiscode.NOTEAnnexBgivesguidanceondesignprovisionsformovement.
