【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversamethodfordeterminingbatperformancebymeasuringthebat-ballcoefficientofrestitution(BBCOR),derivingthebatperformancefactor(BPF)andcalculatingabattedballspeed(BBS).Itisapplicabletosoftballbatsofanyconstructionormaterial.Themethodprovidesaquantitativemeasureofbatdynamicperformancethatmaybeusedforcomparisonpurposes.TheBBCOR,BPF,andBBSareeachcalculatedfrommeasurementstakeninthelaboratoryontestequipmentmeetingtherequirementsdefinedinthisspecification.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thistestmethodcanbeusedtodeterminethein-placedensityofsoilswhichdonotcontainsignificantamountsofparticlescoarserthan4.75mm(3/16in.),andwhichcanbereadilyretainedinthedrivecylinder.Thistestmethodmayalsobeusedtodeterminethein-placedensityofcompactedsoilsusedinconstructionofstructuralfill,highwayembankments,orearthdams.Whenthein-placedensityistobeusedasabasisforacceptance,thedrivecylindervolumesmustbeaslargeaspracticalandnotlessthan850cm3(0.030ft3).Thistestmethodisnotrecommendedforuseinorganicorfriablesoils.Thistestmethodmaynotbeapplicableforsoft,highlyplastic,noncohesive,saturatedorothersoilswhichareeasilydeformed,compressduringsampling,orwhichmaynotberetainedinthedrivecylinder.Theuseofthistestmethodinsoilscontainingparticlescoarserthan4.75mm(3/16in.)mayresultindamagetothedrivecylinderequipment.Soilscontainingparticlescoarserthan4.75mm(3/16in.)maynotyieldvalidresultsifvoidsarecreatedalongthewallofcylinderduringdriving,orifparticlesaredislodgedfromthesampleendsduringtrimming.Thegeneralprinciplesofthistestmethodhavebeensuccessfullyusedtoobtainsamplesofsomefieldcompactedfine-grainedsoilshavingamaximumparticlesizeof4.75mm(3/16in.)forpurposesotherthandensitydeterminations,suchasthetestingforengineeringproperties.Note18212;Notwithstandingthestatementsonprecisionandbiascontainedinthisstandard:Theprecisionofthistestmethodisdependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingitandthesuitabilityoftheequipmentandfacilitiesused.AgencieswhichmeetthecriteriaofPracticeD3740aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting.UsersofthismethodarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3740doesnotinitselfassurereliabletesting.Reliabletestingdependsonmanyfactors;PracticeD3740providesameansofevaluatingsomeofthosefactors.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofin-placedensityofsoilbythedrive-cylindermethod.Thetestmethodinvolvesobtainingarelativelyintactsoilsamplebydrivingathin-walledcylinderandthesubsequentactivitiesforthedeterminationofin-placedensity.Whensamplingorin-placedensityisrequiredatdepth,TestMethodD1587shouldbeused.1.2Thistestmethodisnotappropriateforsamplingorganicsoilswhichcancompressuponsampling,veryhardnaturalsoilsandheavilycompactedsoilswhichcannotbeeasilypenetratedbythedrivesampler,soilsoflowplasticitywhichwillnotbereadilyretainedinthecylinder,orsoilswhichcontainappreciableamountsofgravel(particlescoarserthan4.75mm(3/16in.)).Thepresenceofparticlescoarserthan4.75mm(3/16in.)mayintroducesignificanterrorsindensitymeasurementsbycausingvoidsalongthewallofthecylinderduringdriving,andwhencoarsematerialshavetobedislodgedbythetrimmingofthesampleobtainedbythecylinder.1.3Thistestmethodislimitedtotheproceduresnecessaryforobtainingspecimenssuitablefordeterminingthein-placedensi......
