【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversdeterminationoftheinsulationvalueofasleepingbagorsleepingbagsystem.Itmeasurestheresistancetodryheattransferfromaconstantskintemperaturemanikintoarelativelycoldenvironment.Thisisastatictestthatgeneratesreproducibleresults,butthemanikincannotsimulatereallifesleepingconditionsrelatingtosomehumanandenvironmentalfactors,examplesofwhicharelistedintheintroduction.Theinsulationvaluesobtainedapplyonlytothesleepingbag,astested,andforthespecifiedthermalandenvironmentalconditionsofeachtest,particularlywithrespecttoairmovementpastthemanikin.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
