【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethoddescribesaprocedurefortheapplicationofunipolarmagnitudeestimationtotheevaluationofthemagnitudeofsensoryattributes.Thetestmethodcoversproceduresforthetrainingofpaneliststoproducemagnitudeestimationsandstatisticalevaluationoftheestimations.1.2Magnitudeestimationisapsychophysicalscalingtechniqueinwhichpanelistsassignnumericvaluestothemagnitudeofanattribute.Theonlyconstraintplaceduponthepanelististhatthevaluesassignedshouldconformtoaratioprinciple.Forexample,iftheattributeseemstwiceasstronginsampleBwhencomparedtosampleA,sampleBshouldreceiveavaluewhichistwicethevalueassignedtosampleA.1.3Theintensityofattributessuchaspleasantness,sweetness,saltinessorsoftnesscanbeevaluatedusingmagnitudeestimation.1.4Magnitudeestimationmayprovideadvantagesoverotherscalingmethods,particularlywhenthenumberofpanelistsandthetimeavailablefortrainingarelimited.Withapproximately1hoftraining,apanelof15to20naiveindividualscanproducedataofadequateprecisionandreproducibility.Anyadditionaltrainingthatmayberequiredtoensurethatthepanelistscanproperlyidentifytheattributebeingevaluatedisbeyondthescopeofthistestmethod.
