【摘要】:Establishesguidelinesforthepreparationofprecautionaryinformationonhazardouschemicals,asdefinedinthestandard,thatisplacedoncontainerlabelsintendedforindustrialuse.Italsodefinescriterianecessaryforassessinghazardsthatdeterminewhich,ifany,precautionaryinformationshouldbeplacedonthelabelandotherformsoflabeling.Labelingincludescontainerlabelsandotherdocumentsthatcontainprecautionaryandhazardcommunicationinformation,suchasproductliterature,technicalbrochures,andmaterialsafetydatasheets(MSDSs).Thestandardmustbeappliedinamannerthatisconsistentwithallstatutoryandregulatoryrequirements,suchasOSHA'sHazardCommunicationStandard;itisnottheintentofthestandardtosubstitutefortheserequirements,ortolisteachandeveryuniquerequirement.

【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverfactory-builtfireplaces,includingthefirechamber,chimney,roofassembly,andotherrelatedpartsthatareentirelyfactory-madeandthatareintendedforunitassemblyinthefield.1.2Theserequirementscoverfactory-builtfireplaceshavingafirechamberintendedtobeoperatedeitheropentoaroomor,whenequippedwithdoors,operatedwiththedoorseitheropenorclosed.1.3Theserequirementscoverfactory-builtfireplacesintendedforusewitheithersolidwoodorcoalfuels.1.4Thefactory-builtfireplacescoveredbytheserequirementsareintendedforinstallationinaccordancewiththeNationalFireProtectionAssociationStandardforChimneys,Fireplaces,VentsandSolid-FuelBurningAppliances,NFPA211,andinaccordancewithcodessuchastheBOCABasic/NationalCode,theStandardMechanicalCode,andtheUniformBuildingCode.1.5Ascoveredbytheserequirements,anairductsystemportionofacirculatingwarmairtypefireplaceisintendedforinstallationinaccordancewiththeNationalFireProtectionAssociationStandardforWarmAirHeatingandAirConditioningSystems,NFPA90B.1.6Theserequirementsalsocoverfixedblowers,andotherelectricalaccessoriesforfactory-builtfireplaces,ratedat600voltsorless,andintendedtobeemployedinspecifiedlocationsinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,NFPA70.1.7Thechimneysforfactory-builtfireplacescoveredbytheserequirementscomplywitheithera1700°F(927°C)flue-gastemperaturetestora2100°F(1149°C)flue-gastemperaturetest,atthemanufacturer’soption.1.8Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisStandard,andthatinvolvesariskoffire,electricshock,orinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingtheappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementstodeterminethatthelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisStandardismaintained.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisStandardshallnotbejudgedtocomplywiththisStandard.Whereappropriate,revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisStandard.
